This series is based on three photographs I took while I was in Columbus, Georgia attending a conference. As I explored the beautiful streets, I often stopped in my tracks to get a picture of the brick buildings, the multiple fountains and bridges, and how the sun seemed to envelop these spaces.
I heavily stylized the textures and shapes in the images to make the multiple sections distinguishable from one another. The vibrant color palette additionally emphasizes each pattern as well as how often they repeat in each print. For the last key layer, I experimented with the haziness of the lines by reducing the amount of times I flooded the screen with ink. As a result, the prints read as nice, faded memories.
