I designed a double gatefold brochure that showcased the work and influence of the graphic designer, Emmett McBain. Over the course of his career, McBain developed a vast portfolio that did not have a specific art style; he would adapt his designs to the needs of the client. However, when sketching his ideas, he enjoyed painting with watercolor.
To reflect this, I painted the different elements of the brochure, such as the colorful windows/squares, the half-portrait of McBain on the back cover, and the Chicago city skyline, with watercolor.
